As the weather warms and the roads call your name, it’s tempting to fire up your motorcycle and ride without a second thought. But after months of winter storage — even mild winters — your bike deserves a full checkup before the first throttle twist.

Here’s your complete Spring Motorcycle Checkup Checklist:

🔧 1. Battery Health

• Check battery charge level
• Clean terminals and connections
• Inspect for corrosion
• Test voltage (12.6V+ fully charged)

If your bike struggles to crank, replace the battery now — not roadside.

🛢️ 2. Oil & Fluids

• Change engine oil if not done before storage
• Check oil level and color
• Inspect brake fluid (clear to light amber is ideal)
• Check coolant (if liquid-cooled)
• Inspect clutch fluid (if hydraulic)

Old fluids break down over winter and can compromise performance.

🛞 3. Tires (Critical Safety Area)

• Check tire pressure (cold PSI per manufacturer)
• Inspect tread depth
• Look for cracking, dry rot, or flat spots
• Spin wheels and check for wobble

Cold weather can reduce PSI significantly — always adjust before riding.

For chain-driven bikes:
